This common room is designed to be a retreat or an escape place for people working in surrounding commercial shops. It would be a place to isolate, wind down, and temporarily cut off from the busy working day. Therefore, windows are eliminated and the roof is completely open to skylights, so that sunlight and privacy are guaranteed for a quiet retreat in a busy commercial area.
A Room usually situates inside a building to serve the large whole. A Room is full of objects that the combination of objects in a room define its identity. Some objects help define the room identity while others do not. A bunch of objects are picked to serve workers, and the combination and arrangement of them are operated to form a connected room serving for multiple activities.
